Step into the footsteps of the Incas on the legendary 4-day trail to Machu Picchu—a path where each stone echoes with history and every sunrise brings you closer to the sacred. Designed for explorers seeking depth and meaning, this journey takes you beyond the ruins into the heart of the Andes, guided by local experts and supported by a dedicated trekking team. From the first step at Km 82 to the golden light at Inti Punku, this is not just a hike—it’s a personal conquest, a spiritual immersion, and a memory that stays for life.

Start the trek early in the morning from Cusco to the Sacred Valley and then to the town of Ollantaytambo. From there, drive to the trailhead at km 82 and start the hike to Wayllabamba. You will cross the Vilcanota River and pass through the small town of Miskay before arriving at your first campsite.

Today is the most challenging day of the trek as you climb to the highest point of the trail, the Warmiwañusca Pass at 13,780 feet (4,200 m). After reaching the pass, descend to the Pacaymayo Valley for your second campsite.

This day is a mix of both uphill and downhill hiking as you make your way towards the Wiñay Wayna campsite. Along the way, you will pass through the Runkurakay ruins and the Sayacmarca Inca complex.

Start the day early with a hike to Intipunku, also known as the Sun Gate, where you can witness the sunrise over Machu Picchu. After exploring the ruins with your guide, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then board the train back to Cusco.
