Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be met by our representative from Peru Wayna Picchu. You will have a confirmed transfer to your Lima hotel and assistance with registration. If you arrive in Lima early, take a scenic drive to Parque del Amor in Miraflores for views of Lima’s beautiful coastline or dine at one of the city’s many gourmet restaurants. Overnight in Lima.

In the morning, you will take a flight to Iquitos, the largest city in the Peruvian Amazon. Upon arrival, you will have the afternoon free to explore at your own pace. You can visit the iconic Malecón Tarapacá, Plaza de Armas, or stroll through the Belén Market, where you’ll find exotic jungle products. Overnight in Iquitos.

After breakfast, we will head to the port for the start of an unforgettable experience: a luxury cruise along the Amazon River. From the very beginning, you will be surrounded by lush vegetation and abundant wildlife. During the journey, you will take your first boat excursion to spot exotic birds and, if lucky, the famous pink dolphins. Today, we will venture into Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, one of the most biodiverse protected areas on the planet. Accompanied by naturalist guides, you will navigate small tributaries of the Amazon to observe monkeys, sloths, macaws, and black caimans. You will also have the opportunity to try sustainable piranha fishing and learn about the jungle’s vital role for local communities. Overnight onboard the cruise.

We’ll start the day with a guided jungle walk, exploring the unique flora and fauna of this ecosystem. You will see giant trees such as the ceiba and learn about medicinal plants used by indigenous peoples. Flight from Iquitos to Cusco. Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, the representative of Peru Wayna Picchu will contact us for the transfer to the historic center. On the way to your hotel, you will find examples of Spanish colonial architecture built on the remains of ancient Inca buildings and temples. Overnight in Cusco.

Today, you will explore Cusco’s most iconic landmarks, a city filled with history and mysticism. The tour includes the majestic Sacsayhuamán, the Temple of Qoricancha, and the Plaza de Armas. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture and uncover the secrets of Incan architecture. Overnight in Cusco.

An early morning rewards you with a momentous day of exploring the “lost city of the Incas”. Your PWP tour guide will take you through the iconic ruins of Machu Picchu, discussing the mystery and skill of its construction while absorbing the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Return to Aguas Calientes for the train ride back to Cusco, where your driver will be waiting for you at the station to take you to your hotel for a well-deserved rest. Overnight in Cusco.
